Cream Crosses on Grey & Gold / Anytime Stole! (For Clergy or Deacons)
This unique stole would be perfect for most special occasions, communion or every day use. It would make a fantastic gift for a clergy member. Not only can this stole be used for clergy, but for Deacons as well. There are special clips that can be purchased so the stoles can be turned and clipped at the hip, or a chain can be added at hip height.
This stole has a wonderful pattern & design embroidered on a heavy weight grey woven material. It has 6 to 7 (depending on length) different machine embroidered crosses on the front left side. The neck has a small, embroidered, gold cross iron-on patch. It has a light weight, cream colored, backing fabric. The inside lining is Duck cloth that should help it maintain a beautiful shape over the years.
The stoles are created using the set-back stole method. This means the front fabric edges around the sides onto the back of the stole. Each neckline is curved for easy placement and wearing. Each stole is both machine stitched and more than 50% hand stitched. Each stole takes a minimum of 6-8 hours to complete depending on the details included in it.
I typically design a stole and make 3-4 of each pattern in various sizes. I've measured friends whom are ministers and found the following 3 lengths to be the most versatile. The lengths may vary slightly due to them being handmade and hand stitched, but should be fairly close to the following dimensions!
